Raining outside did not “dampen” my spirits! Walking toward the new terminal in Galveston and on up the escalator, I felt a wave of emotion come over me. It had been so long. At times, I feared there would never be another sea day for me. Yet up the giant escalator I go!
As our 15 days came to an end… Mili made one of her awesome creations. The Mandarin Martini was delicious! This has been a special bonding experience… only the Celebrity in November comes close to comparing. Join us on our last night of fun!
We spent a fun day in Cobh… pronounced “Cove”... then, at the stroke of midnight, Martin and Danielle made Diamond status! Yay!!! Click to learn more about the day in Cobh and our celebration.
After a fun day in Cork, Ireland… we headed back to the ship. On our return journey, we passed this park full of birds. Sunny days and warm weather bring out people and birds!
As we crossed the Atlantic, we moved our clocks forward an hour… six times! We found ourselves sleeping later and later. On this day, when we got up there was a Captain’s party going full swing. Champagne and Mimosa’s on the fifth floor. Downstairs in the Centrum, the Captain iced a giant sized cake…
We are SO behind in posting! With crazy weather and very poor internet, it was frustratingly impossible. We shall be catching up in the upcoming days... For now, continue with us on our journey through Ponta Delgada, starting with the St Sebastian Clocktower. These birds sit high above keeping a watchful eye on the town center.
Day Nine… finally reached land! Ponta Delgada on Sao Miguel Island, is the administrative capital of the Azores. Not our first time here, we expected warm, sunny weather. Instead my view from the cabin was gray and misty.
With so many sea days and an abundance of free time, I decided this was as good a time as any to start an online photography course. Hoping to learn a few tricks, I’ll practice once we reach land :-)
