Down By The River: Belgrade

Not a cloud in the sky! We set out pretty early to check more of this beautiful city. Standing at the Fortress walls overlooking the point where the Dunube and the Sava Rivers meet, this “only one” selfie was taken! Click on the photo (or title) to see how we spent our day…

Belgade: Strolling The City (Phase One)

With a long list of things we want to do and see while in Belgrade, today was a day not to be wasted! Rain forecasts gave us until early afternoon… Tomorrow, full sun is expected! Click the photo (or title) to join our stroll through the immediate neighborhood…

Lazy Belgrade Day...

Glistening with rainwater, our balcony didn’t get much use today! A rainy day is just what we needed… it was time to slow down and recharge our “batteries”. Making a list of errands, we checked each one off one by one. Click on the photo (or title) to follow us through our lazy day…

Big Day!

Wow! We finished up our time in Albania (for now) and headed to the airport… next stop: Serbia! These are two locations completely out of our wheelhouse but absolutely more spectacular than we ever imagined! Click on the photo (title) to see how we finished up Albania (in a BIG way) and our very first impressions of Belgrade…

Heading Back to Tirana...

Our whirlwind excursion took us back over the mountains, along the seaside and finally to our flat in Tirana. One thing we noticed in the many miles traveled… there are fruit stands EVERYWHERE! We saw them in town, on the side of the highway and by the beach. Fresh fruit is easy to find! Click on the photo (or title) to see some of Albania’s beauty!

Albania... An Unexpected Day!

A little mixture of yesterday and today. The unexpected day continues on and there may be even more tomorrow. To see what we did and, click on the photo (or title) and follow us on our journey!

Another Slightly Lazy Albanian Day...

For five days now, I’ve debated opening the door to the back of our flat building. I see it… it’s a bit of a shortcut to some of the places we could go (especially the place we went to go tomorrow). Not sure if was a warning that alarms would sound, we stayed away. Today I took a photo and went to google translate…

No alarm will ring. It was simply asking to close the door because closing the door keeps everyone safe. Thank goodness for google translate!!!

New Day: Recharged in Albania!

After walking from shop to shop, through the big mall and what seemed like everywhere beyond… we finally found a universal converter (called adapter here) directly across the street from our flat! I’m all charged up! It’s Halloween in Albania… pumpkins everywhere! Click on the photo to see more of yesterday’s journey and our relatively lazy day today :-)
