Horses in Stockholm

We had the opportunity to visit a couple of horses on the outskirts of Stockholm. One was just born and one is being groomed for the 2024 Olympics! Beauties...

Arriving in Stockholm!

Our trip to Stockholm was special because we visited friends. Barry met Mattias in the 70's while traveling in Australia. It's always nice to have a local tour guide... we covered a LOT of ground in our five days!

Continuing in Copenhagen!

Along the pier, behind ZinkGlobal, was a fun restaurant. Toldboden has a unique theme. It is set up like cruise terminals. There is something for everyone as far as food and drink goes. Seafood, chicken, sausage, steaks... wine, mojitos, beer... It has indoor and outdoor seating. On a sunny day, there is no better place to be that in a sport along the waterfront with a view of St Alban's Church!

Nassau, Bahamas

Always excited to arrive at a port, I jump out of bed and look off the balcony... as Barry sleeps. My exuberance rarely stirs him.. Nassau, on the port side of the ship, offered a beautiful view of Paradise Island. The best part? It was sunny and clear! The rain was gone!

Great Stirrup Caye

After missing Georgetown, Grand Cayman, we arrived at Great Stirrup Caye... a beautiful island in the Bahamas. After the rush of anxious cruisers cleared out, we tendered over to enjoy this sunny day!

Jamaica!

From our balcony, I saw another Norwegian ship. The Jade is a smaller, older member of the fleet. It used to be named "Pride of America" with a Hawaiian itinerary. The ship holds 2402 compared to Escape's 4248 passengers. Amazing how far the ships have come in nine years. It seems ALL the cruise lines are building mega-ships.

Inside the Escape!

Norwegian Escape public spaces are set predominately on three floors (6, 7, 8) and flow around the largest chandelier at sea. The colors are constantly changing...
