Ponta Delgada

Day Nine… finally reached land! Ponta Delgada on Sao Miguel Island, is the administrative capital of the Azores. Not our first time here, we expected warm, sunny weather. Instead my view from the cabin was gray and misty.

Formal Night

With so many sea days and an abundance of free time, I decided this was as good a time as any to start an online photography course. Hoping to learn a few tricks, I’ll practice once we reach land :-)

Lazy Days

Day Five… eating, drinking and general merriness… Another day of rest and relaxation. The “lazies” are settling in. Seems it takes us several days to unwind and really begin to let go of the chaos going on at home. Seven sea days at the start of this cruise is just what the doctor ordered!

Sea Day Serenity...

Every evening we visit our new friend Milica in Schooner Bar… she always creates a delicious Diamond hour cocktail! This Mojito was especially good. Click to see what else we’ve been up to :-)

Brilliance Sea Days

Nikola, Sommelier from Navigator of the Seas, told us we had to introduce ourselves to his favorite friend on the ships. Milica. It didn’t take us long to find this bartender… she works in the Schooner Bar. Looks like we’ll be spending time with our new friend! Thanks, Nikola!!!

A Day in Tampa!

The adventure begins! Up early to catch a flight from Houston to Tampa, Florida… My first time in this lovely and fast growing city. Check out what we did in our 24 hours!

Hurricane Harvey... Seven Months Later...

It's been seven long months since Hurricane Harvey ripped our home apart. Without insurance and doing it on our own, it takes a lot of time before real noticeable change takes place. As an attempt to return to normalcy, this month was spent on more aesthetic items... starting with flowers in the yard!

Kite Festival Houston Style

What a glorious day!!! Hermann Park Railroad ... cars full of happy children. Widing throughout the 445 acre park, this 50 year old railroad is a great way to get an overview of what the park has to offer. For today? Perfect weather for a kite festival!
