Formal Night
Nothing more irritating than waking up each morning and looking at this unevenness… One plank is long and the rest are evenly cut. It hurts…
Usually only the first day around the pool is empty… to say there are available chairs is an understatement. I feel like we have the whole ship to ourselves! Gentle breezes, sunny skies. We have enjoyed perfect weather! Although we are told that will be coming to an end. The seas are to get more rough as we enter a storm.
Couldn’t get Barry to join in this Salsa class. Each day there are lessons for a new type of dance. Maybe one day I’ll drug him and get him to learn with me. The guests seemed to have a great time learning… at least I was able to enjoy the music.
Tonight’s wine… 2007 Bertani Amarone. As usual, we loved our nightly bottle! We are definitely enjoying some nice wines in a lovely atmosphere.
Unbelievable change in the main dining room experience. The food has been fabulous! New choices each evening and they are perfect sized proportions. Usually, I need to be carried out on a stretcher! Not this time…
So… we ended up meeting and being invited to dine with the “Puzzle Couple”. Adorable couple, married ten years and living in Amsterdam. They gave us some great ideas for day trips from Amsterdam.
I guess not everyone enjoys socializing like we do! My attention span would never allow me to concentrate with all the shenanigans going on during happy hour!
Formal nights are my favorite. I love seeing people all decked out. This gentleman took it to the next level… In a stealthy manner, I took his photo. After that, I had to run over and introduce myself. Very nice guy!
Barry was not as glittery and glitzy as some of the others. They were excited to have their pictures taken! Apparently these two ordered their suits far in advance from Oppo Suits. I checked out the website and found a number of fun dress clothes!
PS As I'm typing this, I've been surrounded by several elderly couples who are talking about the pending storm. The Captain came on and announced a change in itinerary... listening to each of them share what they think they heard is HILARIOUS! And... the storm is near Waterford, Ireland and they are hoping it won't affect Florida... yep. Priceless.
