BLOGMAS 2019: 2020 Travel Plans!
Starting the “Roaring 20’s” with a 90th birthday cruise for my Dad. This five day cruise leaves out of San Francisco Bay. I can’t wait to take photos of the skyline, the Golden Gate Bridge and the beautiful departure pier! Family will join together to celebrate 90 years…
February starts a month long travel season. We begin by flying from Houston to Sydney. Checking into our hotel, we will enjoy the city for a few days before a quick walk to board the Majestic Princess (Photo taken this fall from our hotel in Sydney when Majestic was in port). This nineteen day cruise sails to Tasmania, Melbourne and Adelaide, where our friends will join the itinerary. We will continue onto the Margaret River, Perth, Penang (Malaysia), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) ending in Singapore. A week exploring the city should be exciting and will end with a night in the newly built airport (which is a destination in and of itself!).
We will undoubtedly going to visit Dublin in the Spring. Our friends got a new dog… and we must meet her! There will also be a girl’s cruise in the spring!
When school is released for the summer, plans for a trip across the pond is in the works with my son and granddaughter. We will definitely fly into Amsterdam, check out the canal area for a day or two before venturing to Paris. This trip, we will plan a trip to Versaille ahead of time. Last trip, it was all booked up! My Granddaughter will love exploring the Seine River area, Eiffel Tower and Champs de Elysee. So much to see in that amazing city!
The fall will be our longest vacation… it’s great practice for retirement! In total, it will be about 57 days. Starting with a flight to Rome, we will spend three days seeing what we missed on our first visit. Boarding our Royal Caribbean ship, we will check the Holy Land off of our bucket list! Our excursions are booked in Cyprus, two days in Jerusalem, Haifa and Ephesus. The last two stops are places we’ve been before so we will play Athens and Naples by ear. Rather than flying home, we will stay on the ship and spend the next fourteen days sailing back to Miami! But that’s not all… we arrive in port and immediately jump on a plane to meet friends of ours and fly right back to Europe. This time, we will bring my birthday celebrating friend to Barcelona where we will enjoy a couple days before boarding… you guessed it… another cruise! This one is thirteen days and has an unlimited drink package (dangerous!). We will end in San Juan almost two weeks later… spend a couple of nights and head home. This checks several new stops off the list!
