Beloved Sea Day Aboard Ruby Princess

Beloved Sea Day Aboard Ruby Princess

As I mentioned yesterday, our first stop was the pool bar. With cocktail in hand, we went straight to the Sanctuary! After eavesdropping on fellow cruisers, we learned that this sailing would have 750 children onboard. Due to the Norovirus outbreak on the previous leg, there would be no kids club for the first two days. The only way to survive this… the adults only, pamper area. Twenty dollars would be a small price to pay for peaceful sea days…

Each afternoon, a thick plexiglass menu of snacks is handed out. The first day, I had an ahi salad (which was actually like canned tuna). The second day another item caught my eye… smoked salmon, avocado, grapefruit with a lime vinaigrette dressing. So good!

Around 3pm, the Sanctuary offers a tea service. Everything on the dessert cart looked amazing! Thankfully, they had some gluten free options for me. The orange and spice tea hit the spot! Such a rejuvenating day…

My favorite balcony time… we put on some music and watched the warm day come to a slow end… Seems time stands still or greatly slows down at sunset time.

Eating, eating and more eating… We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Sabatini’s. A four course meal that had us as the last patrons in the restaurant! If you see four people waddling off a ship, that will be us! Although, we try to forgo desserts…

Wow! Walking out on the balcony after dinner… clouds dancing with the full moon. Reflecting off the water, the moonbeam made it almost as light as day. So beautiful. Always at peace while on the ocean… I could do this every single day!
