BLOGMAS 2019: Christmas Puppy!
On Thanksgiving Day, our dog’s family got together. We were able to enjoy bonding time with our new puppy while Sapphire (L) played with her sister, Breeze (R). These two were born November 2017. Sapphire was our gift to bring life back into our house destroyed by Hurricane Harvey
Onyx loves to cuddle with his brothers and sister… there are five in this litter. These pups got snapped up quickly. We were so lucky to get one! There’s only one male left.
These Border Collie’s have the best dispositions! Their Mom (Espy) and Dad (Coach) are the sweetest. This is the third litter from Mom and Dad.
They LOVE to wrestle! Our Border never sits still… EVER… she is always prepared to play catch with her frisbee. These pups are pretty energetic but we may have gotten lucky. We are told that Onyx has a favorite pastime… napping! That’s such a relief. Maybe, just maybe, he will have a calming affect on Sapphire!
Sapphire also got to play with her brother from the second litter. Lambeau (R) is a boy who lives in Atlanta. He seemed to have fun reuniting with his parents and sisters. He also got to meet his newest siblings.
Espy (back left) is the Mom of the three special litters. She and Coach (back right) have been “married” for four years. They really love each other… Sapphire (front left) gets very excited when we visit her Mom and Dad! We shall see how she adjusts to her new little brother. She is pretty used to receiving nonstop attention…
Still nursing… it’s time for these puppies to be weaned! We need Onyx ready to join our family for Christmas. I think Mom is ready too. She was playing in the yard, when all of a sudden, all the puppies attached themselves to her.
… after the playing… the feeding and more playing… it’s hard to stay awake!
Border Collie love… BEST Christmas present ever!!!
