BLOGMAS 2019: Christmas Snow
My least favorite… when you open the front door and realize you’re literally snowed in. All you can do is grab a shovel and start digging. As the cover shot shows, I only dug as far as necessary to escape…
Winter white everywhere! There are a couple of positives to this amount of snow… it comes with a serene silence (until the plows start working) and everything is sparkling clean. The downside is obviously shoveling, but also how the eyes go buggy when driving and seeing only white, white, white!
The icicles can be dangerous. They hang from the eves and as the temps warm up, the long “spears” can pierce a person if standing in the wrong location! Most of these go nearly to the ground so the danger is averted!
It is virtually impossible to keep the deck cleared… there’s nowhere for the snow to go after awhile. The mounds are SO high, we can’t reach to toss it. So, at that point, we wait for spring.
Not much of a view… both the front window and the slider overlook a winter wonderland. It’s like living in an igloo… I suppose it provides privacy in a condo situation!
So nice when the path is cleared… for however long it lasts! Tunnels from the car to the door, from the door to the hot tub, from the hot tub to the dumpster… challenging when taking dogs out! It’s definitely looking like Christmas!
