With two long days of travel, a late arrival into Barcelona… we dragged ourselves out of bed to meet for our 8:45am tour! It was definitely worth getting up to visit this beautiful part of Spain!

The year was 2018… the month August… we experienced a rare nonrev travel nightmare. (Here is the link to refresh your memory Nonrev Nightmare). Once again… five years later, we endured another crazy turn of events.
Due to the weakest wife ever experienced, I am playing catch up on postings. The last couple of days on the ship were a mixture of eating and sleeping… Enjoying our dinners in the specialty restaurants, I can’t rate the main dining room. We never made it there. Here we are in Sabatini’s Italian Restaurant on the 16th floor.
Feeling lazy… not much into tendering to shore, we decided to stay on the ship. Well… at least until we decided NOT to stay on the ship!
Having visited the port of Roatan a couple of times previously, we weren’t overly excited about getting off of the ship. We were in for a little surprise…
Waking up to sunshine! What a treat! A long awaited… leisurely sea day. Just what the doctor ordered!
After three months of relentless storms… dropping between 21 and 49 feet, depending on where one lives… we finally escaped! Taking advantage of a break, we headed to Reno to jump on a plane. Flying “standby” is usually difficult, but with all of the snow, highway travel was challenging. However, we made it! Jumped into our “exit row” seats and got out of town!
Next port of call… Athens, Greece. Click on the photo to see how we spent a leisurely day exploring…
